The programme opened with welcome remarks by Prince David Iweta, National Vice President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), followed by a keynote address by MPOC Chief Executive Officer Ms. Belvinder Sron. Both speakers underscored the importance of strengthening Malaysia–Nigeria cooperation across the oils and fats value chain.
The seminar featured five technical presentations covering Nigeria’s palm oil market dynamics, health and nutrition perspectives, and trade opportunities in West Africa, providing participants with valuable market insights and opportunities for knowledge exchange.

26 June 2026 • Lagos, Nigeria On the sidelines of Malaysia Market Connect 2026 in Lagos, the MPOC delegation, led by Chief Executive Officer Ms. Belvinder Sron, met with two of Nigeria’s leading food industry players, PZ Cussons and Dufil Prima Foods.
The discussions focused on Nigeria’s evolving market demand, industry challenges, growth opportunities and potential areas for deeper commercial collaboration with Malaysian palm oil suppliers.
These engagements provided valuable market insights while strengthening MPOC’s relationships with key industry stakeholders, reflecting its continued commitment to supporting stronger commercial partnerships and expanding market opportunities for Malaysian palm oil across West Africa.
Follow-up Engagement with Les’ Copaque
at MPOC Headquarters
06 July 2026 • Selangor, Malaysia Following its engagement with Les’ Copaque Production Sdn. Bhd. on 15 June 2026, MPOC welcomed Datuk Wira Hj. Burhanuddin Md Radzi, Managing Director and Founder of Les’ Copaque, and Datin Hjh. Ainon Ariff, Chief Content Director, to MPOC Headquarters for a follow-up engagement.
During the visit, Les’ Copaque presented a token of appreciation to MPOC in recognition of the successful collaboration behind the Upin & Ipin palm oil special episodes, Minyak Sawit and Wira Minyak Sawit. Together, the episodes have garnered more than 184 million combined views on YouTube, demonstrating the effectiveness of familiar characters, humour and family-centred storytelling in making Malaysian palm oil more relatable to younger audiences and households.
The collaboration has also received significant industry recognition. Les’ Copaque won two awards at the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards 2026, while the Upin & Ipin palm oil episodes were named the National Winner (Malaysia) in the Best Animation category at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2024, further underscoring the impact of creative partnerships in enhancing public understanding of Malaysian palm oil.
